This was my second semester taking ceramics, and I learned a lot of new techniques and skills.
One of my first projects was a sealed volume, that then needed to be cut and reassembled into a new form.
We then selected a ceramic artist that inspired us, for me it was Alice Ballard, and her botanically inspired ceramic artwork.
I tried my hand at a few impression pieces, some of which were more successful than others. After that I began imitating botanical structures.
